Adventures in Baseball Research: Jim Bagby Jr.

I researched and wrote a piece on former baseball player, Jim Bagby Jr. for Children’s Craniofacial Association. Hope this brings some Major League Baseball back for you, if for just one moment.

If you have talked to me in the last few months, I have most likely annoyed you with this man’s pitching statistics, teams played for, and my research on him. I intend to read more news articles, do more research on mid-century newspaper photography practices to better understand this man. Thank you to all my friends in the Society for American Baseball Research and Children’s Craniofacial Association for their help and support in pursuit of retelling the story of Jim Bagby Jr.

I’d also like to thank my father, who taught my brother and I a deep love for the greatest game ever played…baseball. Happy Birthday, Dad. This one is for you!
