By day, Kara Jackman works as a Communications Manager for Learning Health Systems Rehabilitation Research Network, a research and resource network devoted to exploring rehabilitation research through a learning health systems lens. By night, she feverishly types away to meet deadlines as a freelance writer and Adult Programs Coordinator currently contracting with Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA Kids) in Dallas, Texas. She supports adults, and care partners in the craniofacial community.
Her writing has appeared in the Duxbury Clipper, NotYourAverageSportsChick.com, the non-profit newsletter for the Foundation for Faces of Children, and local, online sports magazines. Her interests are many and varied thanks to her four years at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. For good measure and financial practicality, she pursued a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Kara is a strong woman that has been through a whole bunch. She is constantly evolving and trying like mad to improve myself. She loves to play tennis, work out, run, lift weights, listen to music, travel, watch copious amounts of TV, read, write and hang out with people that make her happy, like her fabulous family and friends.
