Hello…Yes..I am putting the FUN in fundraising. Fun follows me wherever I go.
On Sunday I am taking a cycling class to benefit research and awareness on Ovarian Cancer I’m fundraising to support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (OCRFA). Will you please support me and my efforts with a donation?
Please give what you can. $1, $5, it doesn’t have to be a large amount. For me, this is all about participation, raising awareness, not big donations.
This link will allow you to visit my personal fundraising page and make a tax-deductible online donation. If you prefer, you can also mail a donation directly. Please make checks out to OCRFA and make a note that your donation goes toward my campaign!

Thanks to OCRF and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, we get to celebrate my Mom, the survivor, every single day. Many, many families are not so lucky. Those families are made of the strongest people on the planet. Some of them will be on bikes next to mine on Sunday. I am sure I will lean over and hold their hand, and smile at them with tears in my eyes, too.
This disease is an insidious one, a “silent killer,” as they call it. The research and support that OCRFA gives to hospitals and medical care centers is crucial for improved early detection, treatment, and ultimately, a cure.
This is the third (or fourth year) I have done this ride. If there is a fundraiser in the Boston area for Ovarian Cancer, I am going to be there. Women must stay informed. They must go to their annual physicals, even after they begin menopause.
The cycle class is always inspiring, whether it is realizing how grateful I am to have my family intact, or watching other survivors, and their families, cycle for this cause. We all have stories and incredibly important reasons for being in that spinning classroom. It’s also a great workout. And for me, there is no better way to spend a Sunday than with great people, for such a great cause, and all while exercising.
I’ll let you know how it goes. I might even do some Facebook Live or Twitter Live straight from the Boston Sports Club in Waltham. Keep a lookout for my sweaty mug on Sunday afternoon on social media.
Can you see what we donated?

Yes, you donated quite a bit. Thank you so much! I kept remembering and forgetting to say ‘thank you.’ Bad daughter, bad! Love you!
